ATENEA is a delicate fantasy yarn with a classic brushed "bouclé" structure and 100% natural composition. The exquisite cashmere makes it feel incomparably good, and the new strand format in which this yarn is presented is particularly noteworthy. It differs slightly from the brushed yarns because it has a high proportion of merino wool and does not contain mohair, which is a classic in these structures. The difference arises from the morphology of the two fibers. While mohair is a smooth and hard fiber that usually gives volume to this type of yarn, wool and cashmere are crimped and much finer fibers that provide fluffiness and softness. Furthermore - and no less important - Mako cotton is used in the core and weave of the yarn, which makes it absolutely durable and supple and therefore suitable for any type of work. These properties make the yarn an essential choice for light, warm and comfortable garments that can be worn next to the skin. Due to its lace type strength and suppleness, it is particularly suitable for pretty and sophisticated shawls.
