Grateful Dead Fans who Love ! & even Live-for !! that Good Ol' Grateful Dead  Sound ! ... and at it's Finest !!  Offered here indeed is ' Show # 3 ' of the " Tour Opening ! " England-run of the Beyond-Legendary !! Grateful Dead Europe '72 Tour!!! - at City Hall in Newcastle, England ... the 3rd Show ! - from the Magical ! Grateful Dead Europe '72 Tour !!!  Wow ... and if the Wembley run in London prior was the Landing & Launch ... well, and now - here comes the beginning of the Ascension !!!  3-shows down, with only 19-more dates to go ! ... Wow !?! -- Europe '72 !!!  Seven ( 7 ) Shows were played prior at the Academy of Music in New York City in Late-March ( 3/21-28/72 ), and if you have heard pieces, parts or all of that magnificent run - then you already know how " effective " that NYC run was as the ideal " Tour Warm-Up " for this Big-Time Europe '72 stretch that was right around the corner.  Europe '72 kicked off at the Wembley Empire Pool in London on both 4/7/72 & 4/8/72 - two-nights in London ! to kick off the Fun ... and this Prime-Time-Era Grateful Dead Rock & Roll !!!  And then - right after that --- to right-here ! ... 4/11/1972 at the " City Hall " at Newcastle upon Tyne, England !!!!!  And then ... it was off to Copenhagen, Aarhus ( Denmark ), " back " to Copenhagen, to Bremen ( Germany ), to Dusseldorf ( W. Germany ), to Frankfurt ( W. Germany ), to Hamburg ( W. Germany ), to Paris, to the Bickershaw Festival ( Wigan, England ), to Amsterdam, to Rotterdam, to France, to Luxembourg, to Munich ... and then back ' again ' to London for a final 4-night stand at the Lyceum !  Wow !!  As I certainly hope that you might have been one of the very-fortunate ones that attended this incredible Europe '72 opening run of Shows - over 50-Years-Ago !  This 4/11/72 Show ( 3-CD Set ) Show offered here is " Something-Else !!! " my fellow Dead Fans ... as I really don't even know how else to say it any better ?!?  But yes indeed ... as I shall try !  The simple fact is, the set lists from Europe '72 obviously become overwhelming after a while... as they are All! so darn good.  And, it's always "personal preference" that really matter obviously, as live music always is a personal experience.  So, with that said -- this 4/11/72 Newcastle Show ?  Wow ..... as it has Always ! been Music to my ears, and then some.  There is just something about this-show, regarding the song selection - the order - the tempos, the timings ... and it has always just felt like one of those Grateful Dead Shows & Nights where as one tune wraps-up, you find yourself thinking " That ! sure would be nice next "... and more often then not it seems ... it is played !  Let's put it this way - the pieces of this G.D. Puzzle fit together in more-than a Fantastic ! way.  CD 1 = Greatest - Deal - Charlie - B.T. Wind - Tennessee Jed - Boss Man - B.I.O.D.T.L. - Sugaree - Jack Straw - Chinatown Shuffle - China > Rider !!!  See what I mean ? ... right ?!  CD 2 = Playin' - Next Time You See Me - B.E. Women - L.L. Rain - Big RxR Blues - Casey Jones ! - Good Lovin' - Ramble On Rose ... and, get-ready for this-here Good Lovin' !!!  Whoa ?!?  Rock & Roll ...  And ... as for CD 3 ??? - the Finale of This-Show ?!!  Well, the simple fact is - I would argue that ' on-paper ' and ' in-performance ' ... you could truly put this against any ! Grateful Dead Late-Show Set out there, and it would be a fair fight ... seriously.  Simply out of this Universe ! Improvisational Live Grateful Dead !!!  Well, so ... you had better make certain that Your ! Teapot ! is warmed-up & tasty -- Ha !  >>> Truckin' > Drums > Other One > Comes A Time - Sugar Magnolia - Brokedown Palace - One More Saturday Night !!!  Good Ol' Grateful Dead !!!!!!!

Item Condition :  This Grateful Dead Europe '72 : The Complete Recordings ( Show #3 ( of 22 ) ) at City Hall in Newcastle, England on April 11, 1972 ( 4/11/72 ) 3-CD Set is in Very Good condition.  CD's ( Disc 1, Disc 2, Disc 3 ) are in Very Good condition overall with light-medium scratches/marks on the playing surfaces ( cosmetic-only ) - please see photos.  All CD's play with 100% perfection ( all 3-CD's fully-tested - listened to in entirety ).  CD Case ( 3-CD Tri-Section Fold Out ) is in Very Good condition - close to Very Good/Very Good Plus overall with a light-medium indentation area on the back cover upper-right corner area, a tiny ( 2mm ) starting-tear on the back cover upper-left corner ( barely visible ), and light surface wear ( please see photos / close-up photos #21 & #22 ).  Please see all photos & close-up photos provided.  Photos included are of the actual item you will receive.  The 4/11/72 Night #3 of the England ! ' Tour-Opening !! ' Europe '72 !!! run ... Enjoy !!!!!
