Finally! My patience paid off and I discovered the history to this handsome serving cradle topped with antipastiera glass dish. It has the registered trademark stamp on the underneath of the tray - the swan hallmark belonging to Argenteria Sabattini. The designer - Lino Sabattini (1925-2016) - and all fell into place. A unique, minimalist design - the flat metal bands become handles with the tubular metal square ring above cradling the dish. Four pretty ball feet finish it off beautifully. The 5 sections dish is a rounded 31 cm square, the centre having a depth of around 2 cm. The handles take the length out to around 40 cm. The metal tarnishes and will be silver plated brass. The glass 'cristallo?' feels and looks to be a quality crystal glass - weighing in at around 1.95kg. There we go - the only one I can see 'out there' - I'd love to know if it belongs to a collection and has a name? Please note that the wrapping will add to size / weight and so will be sent as M parcel. Thanks for looking and any questions, please ask.
