The First Congregational Church in De Smet, South Dakota, is historically famous as a spiritual cornerstone featured in Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House books. Charles Ingalls (Laura's father) helped build the original 1882 church, and the family were founding members, Notation on rear "George Hoover".
