1953 Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) tenor saxophone, s/n 50015. Here's a late SBA that delivers a ton of punch and power wrapped around a dark velvety core. The previous owner acquired the sax from PM Woodwind and the pads are still in excellent condition. The sax has metal domed rivetless resonators and they look a lot like what the sax originally would have had installed. The pads are sealing and the horn plays effortlessly through all registers. The low range is wonderful on this horn, speaking and projecting with ease. Like most horns of this vintage, the lacquer is not original. It comes in a hard shell form fitting case.
