Beautiful vintage De Long Sportswear genuine glazed aniline lambskin leather jacket, Style 7609 "The Ipswich," in men's size 38 Long.

Judging from the styling, labels, original hang tags, and the $190 Burt's Store for Men price sticker, I'd put the original sale period roughly around 1974–1977, with about 1975–76 being my best estimate.

Using U.S. CPI inflation to convert $190 into roughly 2026 dollars:

1974: ≈ $1,280 today

1975: ≈ $1,170 today

1976: ≈ $1,105 today

1977: ≈ $1,040 today

Fantastic vintage piece that still retains its original De Long hang tags. Made from extremely soft genuine aniline-tanned lambskin leather in a rich tan/caramel brown color. Features a classic 1970s-style design with wide lapel collar, four-button front, multiple front pockets, satin lining, and black leather-covered buttons.

Original tag identifies the jacket as:

• Genuine glazed aniline-tanned lambskin

• 100% acetate satin lining

Pre-owned vintage condition with original tags still present. The lambskin remains exceptionally soft, supple, and comfortable with a beautiful natural finish. Overall very good condition for its age. There are a couple of very small stains/marks and an area of discoloration on the back. Natural variations, light scuffs, and patina are also expected with this type of aniline leather and are part of its vintage character.
