19th Century Antique Tibetan Silver Gau Amulet Box Pendant - Framed

An authentic 19th-century Tibetan Gau (prayer/amulet) box pendant, beautifully float-mounted inside a modern presentation shadow-box frame.

Handcrafted from silver alloy, the front panel features fine beaded filigree, applied brass/silver rosettes, and twin suspension loops at the top. The center is set with a rustic coral-red stone inlay topped by a small blue-green turquoise/glass cabochon accent.

Professionally framed and mounted by Showcase Antiques Art & Frames (Oct 2003) with a gilt frame and deep multi-matted display.

  • Pendant Condition: Antique pre-owned condition consistent with 19th-century tribal wear. Exhibits age-related tarnish, natural patina, and slight surface rubbing. The central stone inlay shows rustic, uneven edges typical of tribal lapidary work. The small top teardrop bezel retains its tiny blue-green accent stone/glass setting. Structurally solid with tight filigree wirework.

  • Frame Condition: The shadow-box frame, matting, and glass present in excellent overall condition. Clean glass, intact hanging cord on reverse, and solid frame joinery. Verso features original Showcase Antiques label with handwritten gift inscription dated Oct 2003.
