Near Mint. Corners are sharp with clean, square points. Surface is clean across the cosmos foil with full gloss retained. Edges show light factory-standard whitening consistent with a pack-pulled Unlimited holo. Back is clean and evenly toned with good centering.

ABOUT THE SET

Neo Discovery, released by Wizards of the Coast in June 2001, is the third English set in the Neo series and brought Johto’s roster deeper into the game across 75 cards. The set is best known for its full Unown alphabet subset and for a holo lineup that includes Espeon and Umbreon, two of the most collected cards of the entire WOTC era. Ursaring sits in that same holo run, printed on cosmos foil — the stars-and-circles pattern that carries factory swirls.

ABOUT THIS CARD

Ursaring 15/75, illustrated by Naoyo Kimura. Kimura’s artwork puts the Hibernator Pokémon mid-roar against a forest backdrop, and the cosmos foil reads as dappled light through the canopy. Stage 1, 80 HP, evolving from Teddiursa, with Headpress for 20 and Double Lariat hitting 40 times the number of heads on two coin flips. Ursaring was a legitimate Colorless attacker in 2001 tournament play, and it remains a favorite among Johto collectors building complete Neo Discovery holo runs.

PROVENANCE

Single owner. I pulled this card from a Neo Discovery pack myself as a kid in 2001 and it has been in my possession continuously since. It has never been traded, resold, or passed through a bulk lot. Every card in my store comes from that same childhood collection, photographed and described by me personally.
