2020 Honda MSX125 Grom | High-Compression Performance Build | G-Craft, Brembo, OVER Racing and TYGA | 12 Months MOT Mileage: 5850 miles Location: East Sussex MOT: Fresh MOT with 12 months remaining For sale is my extensively upgraded 2020 Honda MSX125 Grom. This is a serious, high-quality custom build using premium parts from G-Craft, OVER Racing, Yoshimura, Kitaco, Takegawa, Brembo, TYGA, HEL, Domino, Dinger and DH Motoring. It is not a standard Grom with a few cosmetic accessories. The engine, intake, ECU, clutch, brakes, suspension, swingarm, riding position, controls, exhaust and bodywork have all been comprehensively upgraded. The identified parts alone represent more than £3,000 at recorded or current listed prices, before fitting costs, servicing, the rear sets and several other parts for which the original receipts are no longer available. It has recently passed its MOT and will be sold with a full 12 months remaining. High-compression engine build The engine has been upgraded as a complete package, with supporting improvements to the intake, oil system, clutch and ECU. The fitted engine specification includes: • New genuine Honda cylinder • Kitaco high-compression piston kit • Yoshimura Stage 2 performance camshaft • Clear camshaft cover • Ported 28 mm throttle body and inlet • Dinger Mid performance intake • Performance air filter • Kitaco Super oil-cooler kit • Kitaco upgraded high-flow oil pump • DH Motoring Stage 3 ECU remap The clear camshaft cover is a particularly unusual detail and allows the camshaft movement to be seen while the engine is operating. The Dinger Mid Intake is a premium system for the 2013 to 2020 MSX125. It is designed to improve mid-range power and low-speed response, particularly when combined with a full performance exhaust. The intake currently retails at £295. The DHM Stage 3 ECU calibration was supplied for a high-compression engine fitted with an upgraded camshaft, intake and exhaust. Together, these upgrades give the bike sharper throttle response and a much more purposeful character than a standard MSX125. OVER Racing twin carbon exhaust One of the main highlights is the genuine OVER Racing Project twin underseat full-carbon exhaust system. This is a premium Japanese exhaust and is considerably more distinctive than the usual low-mounted aftermarket Grom system. The twin underseat silencers completely transform the rear of the bike and work perfectly with the tail tidy, carbon bodywork and polished swingarm. It also complements the Dinger intake, performance camshaft, high-compression piston and ECU calibration. Upgraded Kitaco clutch The clutch has been comprehensively upgraded to support the engine modifications. The fitted clutch specification includes: • Kitaco six-disc clutch conversion • Additional friction plate • Kitaco billet clutch pressure plate • Kitaco reinforced clutch springs • Black Kitaco external clutch cover This is a substantial improvement over the standard clutch assembly and gives the bike a more positive and purposeful clutch action. G-Craft rear sets and tankless rear brake reservoir The bike is fitted with genuine G-Craft rear sets, replacing the standard footrest and pedal arrangement. Rather than using the standard remote reservoir and connecting hose, the compact G-Craft unit is positioned directly at the rear master-cylinder assembly. This cleans up the right-hand side of the bike and creates a much neater, more focused appearance. The G-Craft Tankless Kit was purchased from Ben Bikes Racing and is specifically listed for the MSX125 and MSX125SF. Brembo front brake conversion The standard front brake has been replaced with a proper Brembo conversion. The fitted braking components include: • Brembo Gold 84 mm cast front brake caliper • TYGA CNC-machined Brembo caliper adaptor • HEL braided front brake line • G-Craft tankless rear brake reservoir conversion The Brembo front conversion provides improved brake feel while also giving the front of the bike a much more premium appearance. This is a matched conversion using a dedicated TYGA mounting bracket and HEL brake line, rather than a cosmetic caliper swap. G-Craft swingarm and upgraded suspension The bike is fitted with a polished G-Craft upgraded swingarm. This is the standard-length, +0 cm version, so it retains the original wheelbase and handling rather than creating the stretched appearance seen on many modified Groms. The polished aluminium construction is one of the most striking parts of the build and completely transforms the rear of the bike.
