⚜️ 1836 CAPPED BUST HALF DIME — LAST YEAR TYPE — G/VG — SCRATCHES NOTED ⚜️

⚠️ Several light scratches are present on the obverse — clearly visible in photos and priced accordingly. A genuine 1836 Capped Bust Half Dime — the final year of this classic early American silver type before the Seated Liberty design replaced it in 1837. Philadelphia Mint. Grading G/VG with honest heavy wear. Raw, ungraded — photos show the exact coin you will receive.

LadzVault73 Curator's Note: The Capped Bust Half Dime was America's smallest silver coin for nearly a decade — struck from 1829 through 1837 before John Reich's classic cap-and-bust design gave way to the Seated Liberty. This 1836 example is the penultimate year of the type, struck just one year before the design changeover. The date is bold and clear at the bottom of the obverse; Liberty's cap and bust show the heavy circulation wear expected of a coin nearly 190 years old. Light scratches are present on the obverse and are shown clearly in the photos — this coin is priced as a circulated filler example, not a premium specimen. A genuine piece of early American silver for the type collector or early coinage enthusiast.
