*****These are some of the stories told by Ken Ralston about his life and experiences. They have come to me from time to time over a period of many years. Some were jotted down as he narrated them, and others were written by him. But the bulk of them were taped during a span of fourteen years or so, whenever he was in the mood or had the inclination to reminisce.
***Ken is a gifted storyteller. There is a certain charm imparted in the way he tells them, almost making you feel you were there and a part of them. He loves to relive the past and with the remarkable memory he possesses, there was an inexhaustible flow of tales for him to relate. He is extremely proud, and justly so, of his Western heritage; consequently, that feeling is implanted throughout the Many stories of his pioneer forebears.
