Rocksmith 2014 is an interactive music education game developed by Ubisoft. Unlike rhythm games such as Guitar Hero, Rocksmith requires you to plug in a real electric guitar or bass using a standard 1/4" output jack to play along.

The Method: The game monitors your performance in real-time, dynamically scaling the difficulty as you play until you can read the songs note-for-note.
