Fun facts:
The Serena pattern features a rich English country garden aesthetic. It is decorated with large pink roses, delicate purple violets, soft yellow blossoms, and a distinct border of fern-like golden-green foliage. It originally carried the registered design number Rd No 839329, introduced around 1940 to 1977. A later version with a slightly different trim profile was produced from 1975 to 1990. This is a 1st quality 1940s piece. Because it was ultimately overshadowed by the massive commercial production of Old Country Roses, the Serena pattern was not produced in nearly the same volume, making complete teapots quite scarce and sought after by collectors.
