Up for auction is an original pair of Louis XV candlesticks from the 18'th century, in gilt bronze made into lamps. Some of the original gilt has been worn away and these were drilled and converted for electricity use. The style of candlestick is similar to that

of Juste Aurele Meissonnier.  

The base measures about 5 " wide and they are 9 3/8 " in height. Total height including the sockets is 13 ". These candlesticks come with their drip pans which are attached to the electrical sockets. Compare a similar style pair of 19'th century Louis XV candlesticks on 1stdibs for $4,200.
