These are vintage Polish folk dolls (Lalki Regionalne) dressed in the traditional Kraków (Krakowiak) regional costume.

Costume & Origin Details

• The Regional Attire: The Kraków costume is widely recognized as Poland's national folk dress.

• The Male Doll: He features a distinct navy blue or black felt vest embroidered with red accents, paired with decorative metallic brass plates attached to his belt, striped trousers, and a traditional cap.

• The Female Doll: She wears an intricately layered costume consisting of a floral vest decorated with sequins, a beaded coral necklace, and a lace-trimmed apron layered over a colorful pattern skirt.

• Production: Dolls like these were commonly handmade from the 1950s through the 1980s by state-sponsored folk art cooperatives in Poland, most notably Spółdzielnia Pracy R.L.i.A. and distributed via Cepelia.
