A beautiful antique watch chain made by early 20th century jewelers Carter Gough & Co., New Jersey. It is 14k white gold with black enameled links. The chain is missing its center drop, along with the clasp which would have borne the hallmark. It is beautiful as a necklace though, substantial and very well made, in a beautiful red velvet box.

I included a photo of a complete, yellow gold version listed elsewhere online, which is how I identified the maker and original design.
