Offered for auction are 4 vintage jabot collar/scarf pins. These are not new and have been worn. They are from the 1920s-1930s. None are signed. Each is made of a different kind of early plastic and all be one has rhinestones interspersed throughout the design. Such a wonderful
combination of different designs. Such sparkle and what a connection to history! Wear, gift, or add to your collection.
Top:
1 Purple and pink molded celluloid. Very unique. Excellent condition.
Size: 2.25 inches long.
2. Black jabot pin. Large tulip shaped top and small arrow shaped bottom. Both parts are crusted with clear rhinestones. Excellent condition.
Size: 2.75 inches long.
3. Translucent butterscotch jarbot. May be bakelite, Simichrome test showed it was likely. Rhinestones intact on both pieces. The shaft is a bit rusty so it is very hard to turn the ends. Badly needs a gentle cleaning.
Size: 2.5 inches long
4. Black art deco style shape with rhinestones on part of the top. Early plastic. The design of this one is perhaps the most striking of the four. All rhinestones are present but one is very dull (enough so it looks like it might be missing in the photo although it is not). This one might be worth a bit of fixing because of its design.
Size: 2.75 inches.
Condition
The items are in fair to excellent preowned vintage condition showing only age-appropriate signs of wear and use. These are not new and have definitely been worn. No missing or dulled stones except where noted. Shafts seem to be in good working order except where noted. See pictures. All pieces are as found and could use a good, careful cleaning.
