Antique embossed Griscom's Bone Marrow Liniment patent medicine bottle in lightly sun-purpled (amethyst) glass.

The front is boldly embossed:

The bottle retains its original hand-finished applied lip with mold seams terminating below the finish, consistent with late 19th-century manufacture. The light amethyst coloration is characteristic of manganese glass that has developed a purple hue after prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light.

• 1.5 inches deep at the base
