An attractive late Victorian hardback edition of Half Hours in the Wide West: Over Mountains, Rivers, and Prairies, published in 1897 by James Nisbet & Co., Limited (London). Part of The Half Hour Library of Travel, Nature and Science for Young Readers, this book features decorative blue and gilt pictorial cloth boards and frontispiece with numerous black-and-white illustrations throughout.

Includes an original school award bookplate on the front backboard presented to Arthur T. Sanders for "Good Conduct and Obtaining the Highest Number of Marks" at St Austell College (Christmas 1901).

Good antique condition. The binding is firm and pages are clean throughout with minimal light toning/foxing. The decorative cloth cover shows minor shelf wear to the spine ends, corners, and light age-fading to the spine, but remains bright and well-preserved overall.
