The London City Churches compiled and issued by The London Society (Lancaster House, St. James's).
This second, revised edition was published in 1929 (first published 1923).
The booklet contains historical notes by Dr. Philip Norman, F.S.A., a tabular list of churches and their uses compiled by the City Rectors, and suggestions by Rev. Arthur G. B. West.
It features a fold-out printed plan/map showing the positions of the City of London churches.
Condition shows age wear. The paper cover is worn with chipping, splits along the spine strip, and tears around the stapled binding. There is also a ring mark on the very centre of the cover. The internal pages and folding maps/plans show some foxing, toning, and light edge wear, along with a small ink name signature ("R.J. Carter") on the main title page. The fold-out maps remains attached and intact. Inside has some pencil mark notes from a previous owner, I have chosen to leave these but could be removed as they have been lightly added in pencil.
Sold as-is, suitable for historical reference or London memorabilia collectors.
