Chinese Export Silver & Carnelian Agate Censer – Guangxu Period, c. 1875-1908

I hope I am describing this piece accurately. It measures 3" across top the glass bowl top and 2.1/4" height of bowl only.

Hopefully the photos will be a lot of help for this piece. 

It is a somewhat beautiful piece with a great history. There is wear around the top silver rim and the silver bottom.  For the time period I think it looks good. No chips or cracks 

I will try to explain all the information:

Type: Incense Burner / Tri-pod Censer (Xianglu)

Period: Late Qing Dynasty, Guangxu Period (per the marks on the bottom)

Date of Manufacture: Circa 1875–1908

Region of Origin: China (Export Market)

Primary Materials: Natural Carnelian Agate & Solid Silver

Hallmarks: Stamped "Guangxu Nian Zhi" per marks on photo and "Zu Yin" ( per marks on bottom - Pure Silver) on the base

The body is expertly carved from a single piece of rich, translucent orange-red carnelian agate, sitting securely on three integrated tripodal feet. The stone displays beautiful natural banding and a high-glass polish.

It is topped with its original, heavily pierced pure silver lid

A beautifully cast figural seated Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy)

The base of the silver mount features two distinct, crisp stamped hallmarks: the four-character reign mark "Guangxu Nian Zhi" alongside the "Zu Yin" purity mark, guaranteeing the authenticity of the era and the quality of the silver.
