BRUSH REST IN GREEN ENAMELED ON BISCUIT - CHINA 18TH CENTURY KANGXI PERIOD

Rectangular green enameled brush rest, the central opening on the main face depicting a coin, and Chinese characters on either side. The upper part contains three openings serving as brush rests.

KANGXI PERIOD (1661-1722)

A kiln crack visible on the back of the brush rest which extends under the base. Some chips and wear to the enamel.
