Clearly a genuine ship porthole.

I do not know whether this is cast brass or bronze; I would guess bronze.

In fine condition other than the fact that one of the dogs is completely missing.

The porthole opening itself is just over 12 in and the total diameter to the outside ring is roughly 19 in.

This weighs about 32 lb!!
