This is a beautiful matching pair of large Japanese Kutani porcelain chargers with each measuring approximately 16 inches in diameter.

Expertly hand-painted in verglaze enamels, the design depicts a group of samurai warriors beneath blooming cherry blossoms, with subtle pastel tones and fine gilded detailing. The background is softly shaded in pale beige and grey, evoking early spring mist.

Each charger is artist-signed

"Kitao" with a red seal mark on the front, indicating a skilled Kutani studio craftsman.

The backs retain their original wire wall hangers, suggesting they were made for export or gallery display during early to mid-20th century

Condition: Excellent overall for age, with only minor edge wear; no cracks or repairs.
