Collector grade example of Arita craftsmanship by its weight and preservation. 3/16” thick walls & hefty weight at 1 lb 10.8 oz is typical of this export ware. Vibrant 6 panel design, landscape/floral motifs. The dark Cobalt blue panels/sections exhibit “gritty” texture, with subtle hand applied gold accents throughout the landscape, with Matsu (pine trees) along with Cranes that symbolize long happy prosperous life this plate is a stunning piece of craftsmanship. Near mint condition- No chips, cracks, rubs, crazing. The backside does show running/ drips of the glaze in one area of the plate. That is from the hot heat used in the making of. Not a defect
