Up for sale is a rare, highly collectible 1992 Steiff Titanic Mourning Bear Replica (EAN 406805), a faithful reissue of the historic 1912 black mohair bear. 

This 40 cm bear features premium distressed black mohair and distinctive red-backed eyes, and it is a very early release, numbered 00430 out of a limited edition of 7,000 pieces. 

In 1912, following the tragic sinking of the Titanic, Steiff produced a black teddy bear to serve as a token of mourning for the British market. This 1992 edition is an exact, premium replica honouring that historic release.

It comes complete with its original certificate of authenticity and box, noting the Low Certificate #00430. 

Please note that the chest tag is missing and the original box shows some minor wear from storage as displayed in the photographs, but the teddy bear itself remains in otherwise excellent condition.
