Description

The floating-mounted Brembo 208973712 brake disc from the Xtra Supersport series was developed for sporty road motorcycles and performance-oriented riders. It combines high-quality materials with racing-proven technology and delivers outstanding braking performance during dynamic riding. The floating construction ensures optimal thermal expansion and maintains consistently high braking performance even under demanding operating conditions.

The floating mounting allows controlled movement of the stainless steel friction ring relative to the aluminium inner carrier. This reduces thermally induced stresses, improves lateral runout accuracy and ensures consistent contact between the brake pads and the brake disc. The result is a precise braking point, excellent modulation and stable braking performance at high temperatures and under heavy loads.

The friction ring, manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, features a specially developed hole pattern for effective heat dissipation, water displacement and cleaning of the friction surface. Combined with the lightweight aluminium inner carrier, unsprung mass is reduced and handling is improved.
