Vintage Sky Travel (NZ) Ltd Timetable No. 1 | 19 February to 20 May 1968

About this item

Offered here is an original Sky Travel (NZ) Ltd Timetable No. 1, effective 19 February to 20 May 1968.

What makes this piece particularly special is that it is Issue Number 1, produced for the airline's inaugural timetable period. As one of the earliest surviving public documents from Sky Travel, it represents the beginning of one of New Zealand's pioneering regional airlines.

The timetable includes route maps, fares, schedules, travel information and operating details covering destinations including Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupō, Napier/Hastings, Gisborne, Whakatāne, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Masterton and Wellington, together with connecting National Airways Corporation (NAC) services.

Issue No. 1 timetables are seldom encountered, making this an appealing piece for collectors of New Zealand aviation history and transport ephemera.

Condition

Presented in excellent vintage condition for its age. The paper is clean, bright and well preserved with no writing, tears or significant damage noted. It retains its original folds as issued.

The only point to mention is a small amount of age-related loosening to the original glued binding, with slight separation visible between some pages at the spine. All pages remain present and attached.

Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.

Shipping

Your timetable will be carefully packed with rigid backing to help ensure it arrives safely.
