Full Condition Report
This vintage chest of drawers is ‘sold as seen’. It has been thoroughly cleaned and serviced, and the top, sides, drawer fronts and handles have been refinished. This involved stripping and sanding away the original finish, followed by coats of Osmo Top Oil, then a wax polish and buff. The three drawers slide easily, have securely attached handles and clean interiors. The top drawer is sectioned. We have made some minor repairs to this piece to ensure its ongoing longevity which included regluing a small split in one of the drawer sides and replacing two of the drawer runners inside. Neither of these repairs are on show. Although the dresser has restored wonderfully well, there are some light knocks, blemishes and scuffs here and there so do browse our photos. The glued right angle join between the left hand side and the top has opened a little with age and use so there is a small gap here but there is no movement at all so trying to open it to reglue and clamp would likely have made it worse so we have left this as it's not noticeable. There are no areas of concern, other than the superficial wear and tear shown. It's a well-made item and the E Gomme gold stamp is in the top drawer. The delivery service we can offer does requires some flexibility as the drivers work to pre-planned routes (so we cannot choose a date or book an exact time, for example) but you will be kept fully updated by them regarding their anticipated delivery window.

You are of course very welcome to make your own collection / delivery arrangements as you may have a preferred driver or required a more specific service. Collection is from IP21 5SH. We will ensure your piece is ready for when they wish to collect. We will require prior notice to ensure someone is available for the collection.

All our items are carefully wrapped and well-protected for their onward journey. We use as much recycled and recyclable packaging as possible.

UK mainland delivery is included in the total price for some of our smaller pieces. This is stated in the product description. These items are sent either via DPD or by Royal Mail. We will advise you how your item is being sent and will provide relevant tracking information. We usually dispatch items within 2-4 working days.
