Fujikura Ventus Blue Velocore+ 6X Driver Shaft – TaylorMade Adaptor – X-Stiff Purchased new through Custom Lab as part of a professional driver fitting. The shaft cost £299 and was collected on 1st April 2026. It was used until the end of June and has probably only seen around 10 rounds of golf. The shaft is a Fujikura Ventus Blue Velocore+ 6X, fitted with a TaylorMade driver adaptor and a Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Mid grip. As part of the fitting, the shaft was professionally tipped by ½ inch. Tipping means a small amount is removed from the tip end of the shaft before the adaptor is installed. This generally makes the tip section play slightly firmer and more stable, which can help reduce excess launch and spin and give a more controlled feel through impact. The grip was also built up to the fitting specification with: 2 layers of tape under the left hand 3 layers of tape under the right hand The extra layer under the lower hand reduces the taper of the grip. This can help quieten the hands through impact and reduce the tendency to turn the clubface over too quickly. The shaft was built to play at 45.25 inches in the fitted TaylorMade driver. Overall, it is in very good used condition. There is a very small amount of light bag wear/rubbing on the shaft, which is shown in the photographs. This is cosmetic only and does not affect performance. Only selling as it ultimately wasn’t quite the right shaft for me, so I have gone back to my previous setup.
