Condition

Good antique condition overall.

The original green cloth binding remains intact. The covers show moderate rubbing, uneven fading, surface wear, scattered pale spots, small marks and general handling wear. The gilt lettering on the front cover and spine is faded and partially rubbed but remains readable.

There is a noticeable area of cloth abrasion or loss along the upper edge of the front board. The corners are bumped and rubbed, with some minor fraying and cloth wear. The spine ends show rubbing and softening. A small pale green or whitish spot is visible near the lower edge of the front cover. The rear cover has additional rubbing, scattered light spots, edge wear and bumped corners.

The boards remain attached and the text block appears generally secure in the photographed areas. No detached signatures or major binding separation are shown.

Interior pages show normal age toning with scattered light spotting, occasional foxing and a few small dark specks. The printed text remains clear and readable. No significant writing, underlining, owner inscription, bookplate, library stamps, card pocket, tape residue or ex library markings were observed in the photographed areas.

The author portrait frontispiece and title page are present. No detached pages, major tears, clear water tide lines or mold are visible. Completeness has not been independently verified page by page.

No author signature is present.
