Yasuteru was a swordsmith from Mino Province (present-day Gifu Prefecture) who was active during the early Edo period (around the Kan'ei era). He forged swords in locations such as Tanabe (in the vicinity of present-day Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture), and is best known for swords bearing the inscription "Tanshu-ju Daido Fujiwara Yasuteru."

Period: Early Edo period (circa Kan'ei era); classified as *Shintō* ("New Swords"). Style: The forging pattern (*jihada*) features a tightly packed *itame* (wood-grain) texture, while the temper line (*hamon*) is characterized by styles such as *suguha* (straight line) incorporating *gunome* (undulating) elements with *ashi* (vertical lines extending into the edge). Standard Price: Historical records, such as standard price lists for renowned swords, assign it a valuation of approximately 5,300,000 yen.
