Nikon F Photomic FTN

The Nikon F Photomic FTN is the final and most advanced iteration of the historic Nikon F 35mm SLR camera system, introduced in 1968. It pairs Nikon's legendary, "indestructible" mechanical camera chassis with the "FTN" metered prism head, marking the pinnacle of professional photojournalism gear from the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Key Features

Camera Type: 35mm mechanical single-lens reflex (SLR).
Shutter: Ultra-reliable titanium foil focal-plane shutter, operating entirely without batteries.
Shutter Speeds: 1 second to 1/1000 second, plus Bulb and Time (T) modes.
Metering Pattern: Introduces Nikon’s classic 60/40 center-weighted TTL pattern (60% of meter sensitivity concentrated in the center 12mm circle of the viewfinder).
ISO Range: ASA 6 to 6400.
Power Source: Originally designed for two 1.35V PX625 mercury cells. Modern users must use 1.4V zinc-air batteries or a voltage-reducing adapter to ensure meter accuracy.

Condition

The camera has been cleaned, tested, is operational and is in good condition. It has some signs of use mainly on the base and back.
