In very good usable condition and in full working order. This is a classic B. James Richard Walker MK IV split cane carp rod, a highly regarded model and one of the most famous cane carp rods ever produced.
The rod is complete with a doughnut shaped smooth cork handle, knurled alloy reel slides, red rubber butt button, original agate butt and tip rings, and low bell rings throughout. It is finished with maroon silk whippings and full intermediate whippings, giving it a very traditional and attractive appearance.
The ferrule joints are tight with good suction, and the rod has a lovely classic feel in the hand. It remains a very usable example of this iconic split cane carp rod.
Please note that although the rod is in very good usable condition overall, the whipping around the ferrules would benefit from being redone, including the tip ring whipping. This has been taken into account and the rod is honestly described as a good usable rod that would also benefit from some tidying.
There is no bag supplied, but the rod will be sent in a good quality protective travel tube when shipped.
