T. Jefferson Parker is one of Southern California crime fiction's most decorated writers, a three-time winner of the Mystery Writers of America's Edgar Award and a New York Times bestselling author. This lot spans a significant arc of his career, from his early St. Martin's Press period through his Hyperion and Dutton years, and includes titles from his Merci Rayborn series, his Charlie Hood series, and several of his finest standalone novels.

Little Saigon (St. Martin's Press, 1988) is Parker's second novel, set in Orange County's Vietnamese-American community and notable as an early example of his engagement with California's immigrant history. Where Serpents Lie (Hyperion, 1997) and The Blue Hour (Hyperion, 1999) are taut standalone thrillers from his productive Hyperion period. Red Light (Hyperion, 2000) and Cold Pursuit (Hyperion, 2002) both feature Merci Rayborn, the Orange County Sheriff's detective who anchored some of Parker's most commercially successful work of that era. L.A. Outlaws (Dutton, 2008) launched the Charlie Hood series, introducing the protagonist who would carry six subsequent novels.
