This is an authentic German "Kriegsmodell" (wartime production), manufactured under strict material restrictions, making it a fascinating piece for both fountain pen enthusiasts and military history collectors.

Key Features & Condition Details:

The Nib: A rare, original Soennecken Steel Nib, featuring the early traditional crown imprint. Despite being made of steel due to wartime gold restrictions, this nib is highly flexible (Very Flex) with a B (Broad) factory cut. It offers a wonderfully springy feedback that modern pens simply cannot replicate.

The Body: Made of high-gloss black celluloid. No cracks, deep scratches, or personalized engravings. The barrel features the classic wartime straight outline/inline "Soennecken" imprint (block font). The imprint is crisp, deeply stamped, and fully legible, showing excellent preservation for a wartime piece.

Blind Cap Stamp: The blind cap is deeply and clearly stamped with the factory code "9 B", indicating the exact model number (9) and nib width (Broad).

Ink Window: Beautifully clear, warm amber-colored translucent ink window.

Mechanism (Please Read): The piston mechanism turns smoothly and the piston rod moves fully up and down. However, the pen does NOT hold vacuum. The original internal cork seal has dried up over the decades and needs replacement. Sold strictly as-is.
