- Design & Origin: These plates feature detailed illustrations of historical landmarks, monuments, and points of interest from Vicksburg, Mississippi, often referring to its historical nickname, the "Gibraltar of the South" (shown on the reverse image). This plate was specifically commissioned and made for Z. M. Davis, Proprietor of National Park Store Curio Shop located in Vicksburg, Mississippi. It highlights Civil War units and Generals from the Union North including: General Grant, the Illinois Memorial, the Iowa Monument, General Pembraton from the C.S.A. and the Historic Warren County Courthouse.
- Dimensions: Standard collector size measuring 10.5 inches in diameter
- Colors: Most commonly found in a maroon or reddish-brown transferware print on a cream background, though Vernon Kilns also produced regional lines in blue and brown.
