A used 2008 Custom 22 10Top, featuring a 10Top grade quilted maple top, has arrived! Compared to the Custom 24, the number of Custom 22s imported into Japan is extremely small, and it possesses a different character.
With two fewer frets than the flagship Custom 24, the resulting differences in construction and pickup placement contribute to a richer, more musical sound, making it one of PRS's classic models. [Body, Neck, and Fingerboard] The body features a classic combination of quilted maple top, mahogany back, and mahogany neck.
The fingerboard is made of Indian rosewood. [Neck Shape] The neck shape is "Wide Fat." It's a comfortable neck shape with a moderate thickness that doesn't feel difficult to play, offering a good grip. [Pickups] The pickups are the classic "Dragon II" set. Using Alnico 4 magnets, it retains the vintage feel of McCarty while also possessing a powerful, punchy tone that is very easy to handle.
The versatile sound produced by the 5-way rotary control matches a wide range of musical genres. The coil-tap sound in the mixed position is particularly unique to this 5-way rotary control. [Condition] There is a slight clouding of the paint near the cutaway.
The back of the neck has been sanded, giving it a matte appearance. Other minor scratches, dents, and tarnishing of parts are visible, showing signs of use commensurate with its age.
The neck, frets, truss rod, and all other playable components are in perfect condition. Furthermore, upon arrival, our repair center performed a tone pot replacement, overall adjustment, and fret leveling, so you can use it with confidence.
