This is a stunning Antique French Christofle Silver Plate Vegetable or Soup Tureen and Cover. To the base of the Tureen and rim of the cover are the early Chistofle marks used between 1844 and 1862. 

It is in very good clean condition but does exhibit a little age-related wear from handling and storage but no major dings or dents, just a small pin head one to the base. It measures approximately 29cm wide, including the handles.
