Original Unrestored Schwinn Bicycle.
Nice survivor.
Used 1962 Schwinn.
Rare one year only frame with the continuous double straight bar.
1961 was very similar with the exception of a bolted on kick stand vs the welded kickstand mount on the 1962 and newer models.
The bike appears to be all original with exception of the tires, Which are also vintage, not modern replacements. General Twin-Trac. Made in the USA
This is a rare and desirable bicycle.
I purchased the bike from a woman who said this bike belonged to her grandfather and he has owned it since new.
It is rideable right now as is.
The front wheel needs to be tuned and adjusted, some of the spokes pop, and ping when it is being ridden.
Overall a very cool survivor.
It is 64 years old and has it's fair share of wear and tear, scratches and age showing.
This bike is way too cool as is to restore. these are only original once.
The serial number indicates this bike was built on January 11, 1962 which is actually the very first day of production in 1962.
I am only selling this one because I own two of these.
