Used Ernst Leitz Wetzler mechanical stage for use with a microscope. The stage is designed to clamp onto the stage of a microscope and allow the user to make fine adjustments using the knobs.
The stage is in good condition for its age. The stage is not personalized or engraved. The slide clamps are adjustable, but I did notice an issue. The set screws are too short to lock the clamps in position. As a result, the clamps still slide even when the screws are tightened all the way down. I don’t believe this would cause any issues using the stage, but it’s possible the stage will need additional parts and/or service before use.
All the adjusting knobs turn smoothly and the stage slides without any binding or grinding. I don’t see any broken or damaged teeth on the gears.
