I have been dealing with German helmets (both original and restored) for 30+ years. This is the best reproduction Helmet Liner I have ever encountered, and I use this type with all of my restorations.
The zinc-coated steel liner frame is made in Prague by an expert machinist. The leather is subcontracted from one of the last "Old-time" leather works in Europe. The hides are purchased from a tanning factory in Belgium. The "finger" shaped blank is NOT scissor-cut but made from specially designed leather cutting dies.
All stamped markings are designed from original examples. Please do not confuse this liner with the Asian-made junk found all over eBay. The Asians have never been able to get the zinc-coating correct and the leather hides are tanned with toxic and smelly chemicals. The "leather" they use normally comes from water-buffalo (Cattle are not that popular in the east)
This is a liner made to old-world standard of quality; it will serve as the best replacement to complete your WW2 German helmet.
My name is Ken Niewiarowicz. Many of you are familiar with my published works and website on the subject of the German steel helmet. This liner carries my full endorsement as being the best reproduction you can find.
