🚚 Price Includes FREE UK Postage

A classic piece of British gaming history from 1985. Brian Jacks Superstar Challenge is a sports simulation game released by Martech and later re-released on the Ricochet label, compatible with the BBC Micro and Acorn Electron.

The game is loosely based on the BBC sports programme Superstars, in which elite athletes from different sports compete across a range of events. You compete against Brian Jacks across eight events, scoring points based on your performance. The eight events are: Arm Dips, Squat Thrusts, Canoeing, Cycling, Football, Swimming, Archery, and 100 Metres.

Brian Jacks was one of the most successful competitors in the BBC Superstars programme, dominating the British and European versions from 1979–1980 and winning four titles. He was particularly celebrated for his remarkable gym test performances, including 118 squat thrusts in the 1980 World Final. His victories on the show led directly to the creation of this game.

Electron User magazine praised the game's graphics and the variety found across its different events.

This listing includes:

• Original plastic cassette case
• White Ricochet cassette (BBC/Electron side labelled)
