Condition: Used, vintage condition. No original packaging, no instructions. This item is not complete, the original item would have had metal supports on top of the box lid. No accessories included. There is surface wear, surface marks, some wood wear. The box lid still opens and closes as expected. From smoke-free and pet free premises.

Description: A vintage wooden storage box. 

This storage box originally started as a valet or gentleman's accessory box. There would have been one or two metal supports coming out of the wooden lid. These would have supported smaller items for displaying or cleaning, such as gloves or ties. Inside the box originally had two compartments and these would have been used for storage of the accessories, for storage of the cleaning items assocaited with cleaning the gentlemen's accessories or both. The compartment divider is not included with this item. 

On the inside of the lid is a plastic sign that reads; The S.E.C Box, Registered Design, Patent Number: 

This box has been used for many uses with the original metal accessories and for storage of various items since. It is now a vintage wooden box, with some interesting history. The S.E.C Box brings up little online search results. The patent number is not easily associated to online records for patents.
