"Insects of Surinam - Die Insekten Surinams - Les Insectes de Surinam" is a 192 page, 10"x13.75" hardcover written by Katharina Schmidt-Loske and published in 2009 by Taschen. The text is in English, German and French. It reproduces, with much added commentary, Maria Sibylla Merian's color illustrations of insects she observed while in the South American country of Suriname circa 1700.
In acceptable condition being ex-library with related markings and attachments. There's no dust jacket, as issued. The cover is lightly soiled and worn at the edges. There's loss to the spine's title lettering and patches of loss to the ffep and back pastedown.
