Pair of Vintage Brass Lion Durham Mask Door Knocker.

Durham Cathedral sanctuary knocker in the shape of a medieval lion's head. 
The original huge lion sanctuary knocker was affixed to the great North door of Durham cathedral and saved many a felon by way of sanctuary as long as he admitted his or her crime when seeking the 'peace of St. Cuthbert.'
Can fix to any door in the house such as bedrooms or bathroom or use as a cupboard handle. Ideal internal use for home, B & B's and hotel rooms.
