Vintage Royal Worcester Porcelain Egg Coddlers Strawberry Fair Pattern.

Vintage Royal Worcester "Strawberry Fair" egg coddlers featuring a beautiful botanical illustration of trailing strawberry plants and a butterfly. Fine porcelain body with strawberries on one side and a butterfly on the reverse. Topped with a screw-on metal lid and a lifting ring.

Prep: Butter the inside of the porcelain cup to prevent sticking and crack your egg into it. You can add seasoning or flaked fish.

Cook: Screw the metal lid on securely and submerge the coddler in boiling water (ensuring the water level sits below the metal rim).

Timing: Boil for roughly 6 minutes for a soft egg, then lift it out using the metal ring (careful, it will be hot!).

Standard / Single: Holds one egg and is about 9 cm (3.5 inches) tall.

This highly sought-after design was introduced in the 1960s and officially discontinued in 1979.
