Description:
An extraordinary, monumental antique Middle Eastern ceremonial kettle measuring a commanding 19 inches tall by 19 inches wide. This museum-scale statement vessel features traditional tinned-copper and brass construction, crafted in the 19th to early 20th century Ottoman or Persian tradition for large gatherings, community hospitality, or ritual use.
The body is hand-hammered from heavy copper, historically finished with an interior and exterior tin coating that has worn down over the decades to reveal a magnificent, rich bi-metal patina. The focal point is a hand-chased central cartouche showcasing elegant, flowing Arabic calligraphy script, framed by finely detailed geometric and traditional patterned borders running along the midsection.
The structural craftsmanship is outstanding: a robust, ornately shaped brass swing handle features a turned wooden grip, a stepped and domed lid topped with a classic finial, and an elegant, sweeping gooseneck spout with stylized leaf scrollwork at the base.
Measurements: Approximately 19" H x 19" W (including spout and handle)
Material: Tinned Copper, Solid Brass, and Wood
Condition: Excellent antique condition. It features a stunning, authentic aged patina with honest wear, oxidation, and small character dents consistent with its significant age and history. The original lid is present.
With its massive proportions and undeniable historic soul, this rare piece makes a phenomenal centerpiece, hearth accent, or high-end design focal point for a luxury rustic space.
