Vintage Chinese brass covered censer / incense burner with pierced lid, side handles, three footed base, and engraved fish and floral-style designs. Bottom is marked with Chinese characters and stamped CHINA.
The Chinese mark appears to translate as “Made in the Xuande reign of the Great Ming Dynasty,” but this is a later Xuande-style/revival mark, not a Ming dynasty piece. The English CHINA stamp points to a 20th century export piece.
Measures approximately 4" tall x 4" wide.
Condition: vintage used condition with tarnish, patina, surface scratches, oxidation/verdigris inside, small dings, bent/wavy areas on the lid rim, finish wear, and age-related darkening. Lid sits with some unevenness from rim wear. Please review photos closely.
A great small brass display piece for Asian decor, incense display, altar styling, shelf decor, or collectors of Chinese export brass.
Will be well packaged.
