A classic tuning fork watch in very nice original condition and fully working.

The distinctive very 70's TV shaped case has a few marks as you can see in the picture but is still very presentable. Features original signed crown, which when turned is the quickset for the date indicator.

The watch features an amazing tuning fork movement, invented by Bulova in the 1960s, and which was incredibly accurate for its time.  It is a complex electric movement, and keeps time accurately with a high frequency vibrating tuning fork that gives the watch its distinctive hum rather than a more traditional ticking sound.

I timed the watch yesterday over 24hours and it lost approx 12 seconds, so pretty good result for a 50-ish year old watch.  I know it is possible to adjust these for accuracy, but don't have the technical skill to do that.  I have had the watch about 5 years, bought from an antiques place in surrey.  I have not needed to have it serviced, though it had a new battery about 6 months ago.

The rally style strap is leather and used, one of the keepers has come off since the photos were taken, but it is still functional and presentable.

There is a parts watch of the same model listed at the moment which is not working and that is over £140 so I think this is a fairly priced, great looking vintage hummer.
